by what I do, but it doesn't count for this film, and I'm very
happy to take part in this adventure with the other actors in the
fantastic decor. Each plan has its own incredible strength and
sense. I have enormous fate in the director of the photography. It
is interesting to be part of this spiritual, symbolic and
adventures movie"

When
I read the script for the first time, I found echoes, resonates
from the past I knew.
I
found it very interesting for one of the first Macedonian films
raised the question about the origin of evil on the Earth, which
is the basic principal of Cathars, Bogumils and Dominicans. “Why
is the world soawful,
so bad, when God is so
good?” One of the solutions of this
problem, brought by the Cathars, by the Bogumils was that from
the very beginning, there was another principal, not exactly equal
to God, but different – it was the principal of evil, bad. It
was almost as strong as God, but not created by God. So –
that is the heresy.
Where
does this principal come from? That is really an ancient and
recurrent question in the history of the man kind, and the fact that
the Macedonian people, in one of their very first films ask them
selves - “where does
this principal comes from?” – is pretty fascinating.
There
are not only one people in the world that has invented evil... evil
belongs to everybody. Than, to raise the question and ask deeply to
one self “am I evil? Is my people evil by nature from the very
beginning? Is there a way to understand why, and is there a way to
correct it and to get rid of it?” That is to me, the main subject
of this film, which I’m trying to clarify. It is a very old and
extremely important question that we are not going to solve today…
and one film is not enough to give it an answer, but at least it is
an attempt, a try to bring in the question, the real question, which
is this one.
And
the story of the secret book, which is not a book made of paper, it
is not even a written book, it is a book that we have in our selves…
but very few people know how to read it… very few people know how
to tell the contain of the book. That is to me all this aspects,
different aspects of the story that interests me and probably that
is why I’m here.
This
films has a chance to be a good film and first of all to become
known through the festivals. Festivals are very useful to make films
known. The question is always the quality, and with what we have
here, we can count on success.
We
are waiting for this film as the Romanian Queen Marie waited for her
Turkish lover Hasan in her palace by the sea
